First, if anyone actually believed there were going to be 6 Fed rate cuts in 2024, then I have some prime, beach-front property in New Miami that I'd like to sell you.... Second, I hope the economy takes a huge **** in 2024 - - Anything to get that jello-brain, democrat, **** and his 2 sidekicks - Kuntala and Jill'n out of the White House.

Morningstar's chief U.S. economist is predicting the central bank will axe rates six times in 2024. “In addition to the first cut in March 2024, we're expecting a total of six cuts for the whole year,” said Morningstar's Preston Caldwell in a new podcast.Dec 15, 2023

I get an entirely different read on Skans. Regardless of who is in the White House, a good economic downturn creates a lot of opportunities for those with resources. It is unfortunate that the little guy gets crushed in the process but currently that is the way the game is played.

We are postponing major purchases to see what happens this year. 

That large mountain of bond funds I own would love to see 6 rate cuts.
