Or, did he?

Everyone was once lead to believe that Stephen Hawking was this genius physicist who revolutionized the way we see our Universe.  But, he really did not accomplish that much.  Let's examine what Hawking did in a nutshell:

• Black Holes - He originally said they didn't exist; then said they might exist; then conceded that they exist - However, it was actually was Karl Schwarzschild who developed the idea for black holes from relativity’s equations in 1916, just a year after Einstein published his theory.
• Big Bang Theory - In 1970, Hawking and Penrose, suggested the universe began with a singularity, a location where space and time are indistinguishable. It's as if a black hole went in reverse. Their research supported the theory that the universe began with a big bang. HOWEVER, it was Russian cosmologist and mathematician Alexander Friedman who found that solutions to Einstein's general relativity field equations resulted in an expanding universe. And, it was later Hubble that expanded on this.  Hawking didn't contribute much.
• Theory of Everything - Hawking was working on this, but was never able to integrate the quantum universe with the macro-universe.  Failed.
• Hawking Radiation - Ok, so he theorized that black holes will eventually dissipate due to hawking radiation, but he never actually proved the existence of such radiation from a Black Hole. Failed.

So, Hawking's contributions are neither revolutionary, new or profound to the study of physics.  Why does the Scientific Community revere Stephen Hawking so much?

Could it be because Stephen Hawking was and ATHEIST?  Is Hawking a prophet for Atheism?  Here's what else we know about Hawking:

• Hawking campaigned for the UK to remain in the EU, warning Brexit would be a "disaster" for science funding
• Hawking was a long-time supporter of the Labour (Socialist) Party
• About President Donald Trump, he said: "I can't. Trump's is a demagogue, who seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator."
• Hawking was a strong proponent of Euthanasia

So, yes, Hawking was a darling of the left, inspiration for all of those "handi-capable" people, and poster child for those who curse God.  The leftists just had to inflate him far beyond his real worth to the field of physics.
