no more gas. no more license fees. no more insurance. no more vehicle repairs. using garage for my horse, buggy and horse food. will use the manure for my garden. horse loves me. we go trotting around the area all the time. no oil pollution. what a great hobby. i am so happy.

I'm a little bit jealous..!
A horse is a lot of work to keep. It's a commitment.
I hate the way my neighbors just let their 30 year old horse stand in a small corral day after day with very little human or "companion animal" contact just waiting for the day to finally come when it can die.
They own it as a "Status Symbol"....like it's a 2000 pound lawn ornament.

That kind of **** bothers me. Its the main reason I don't have a horse, despite my kid's pleas to get one. Have the land, but not the time to dedicate to an animal like that.  The thought of a lonely animal being completely ignored like that with not even a companion animal  - that's just awful.
