There is a way for traditional Americans to succeed.  But, we're doing it all wrong

First, what's not working:

• Short term concept of Family - essentially where you raise your kids and then they go off to college and careers never to return.
• 4- year college pushed as the only path to success - its not.
• No sense of extended family or community.
• No sense of creating a sustainable living for not just yourself but for your family.

Now, the solution - warning - many of you won't like it.

• Create family compounds.  Target an area and, as a family, buy up as much of the land as you can.  Do this with your brothers, sisters, parents, and your own children. Create a charter that prohibits anyone from selling any portion of the land to non-family members.  Don't move, or only move if/when the entire extended family finds suitable replacement land for everyone.
• Create family businesses(es).  Could be building construction, automotive, farming, manufacture/distribution of cleaning products, finance and banking, slumlord, HVAC/refrigeration company, electrician company, etc. The business has to be able to have all family members work within it.
• Teach Children from an early age that they are expected to live on the compound and work for the family business.
• Strongly encourage marriage and discourage divorce. Encourage your children marry early - and marry those of a family with similar values. This is

The Asians do this.  The Jews do it.  The Amish (etc) do it. Even the Mexicans are doing it.  We are willingly giving away our precious "family capital"  so that our kids can be free to live out miserable and lonely lives.
