Is Baldwin trying to claim that the gun aimed itself right at the woman and that the bullet just fired on it's own without the trigger being pulled...?Huey » 19 Jan 2024, 3:32 pm » wrote: ↑ Alec Baldwin charged with involuntary manslaughter for a second time over fatal ‘Rust’ shooting

Maybe he should have put politics aside and had NRA safety instructors and armorers on the set.
Should be Murder 1. I think he meant to do it.Huey » 19 Jan 2024, 3:32 pm » wrote: ↑ Alec Baldwin charged with involuntary manslaughter for a second time over fatal ‘Rust’ shooting

HIs original defense was he did not pull the trigger. But the FBI showed the weapon had to have the trigger pulled. Probably had a hammer block.GHETTOBLASTER » 19 Jan 2024, 3:36 pm » wrote: ↑ Is Baldwin trying to claim that the gun aimed itself right at the woman and that the bullet just fired on it's own without the trigger being pulled...?
In todays world [if he's got a Liberal Judge] that alibi should work just fine.![]()
Kind of like the Dominion voting machines and the software changes during lockdown.Squatchman » 20 Jan 2024, 7:27 am » wrote: ↑ This is going nowhere.
They're going on tests of the gun after it's gotten parts replaced since the last tests.
It's essentially a different gun now.
Yeah.. I think the nut really wanted to kill someone, kill someone on the set - I think it was a fantasy of his. I have a hard time believing all of this is a mistake, and here's why:
He's a liberal puke, so any irrational behavior is to be expected from him.Skans » 20 Jan 2024, 9:52 am » wrote: ↑ Yeah.. - Someone put live ammo in the gun - however, we still do not know exactly how this happened. Someone knows.....but we don't.
- 45 Long Colt is not very common ammo - People who shoot 45 Long Colt know where their ammo is. Its not like leaving a handful of .22L laying around.
- 45 Long Colt is relatively heavy ammo. So, a loaded Single Action Army will be noticeably heavier than an unloaded one.
- Most people can simply look at a revolver and tell its loaded - you can see the bullets in the cylinder.
- Baldwin is lying about not pulling the trigger. Of course he pulled the trigger. He's lying. So, what else is he lying about?
- The person who put live ammo in the gun knew that Baldwin had the gun in his hand - there was no attempt to stop what happened next.
I have two firearms that shoot 45LC. It is heavy.Skans » 20 Jan 2024, 9:52 am » wrote: ↑ Yeah.. I have only 1 firearm (1st Gen Colt SAA) that shoots 45LC, but no 45LC ammo. So, tell me, when the gun is loaded, you can tell just by picking it up that its loaded, right? And, a quick glance at the cylinder would reveal that it is loaded as well, right.
How can the round be in a gun by mistake? Please give me a scenario where this particular gun is 1) loaded by mistake, or 2) a round was left in it by mistake. Just walk me though it step by step so I can understand. Also,Z09 » 20 Jan 2024, 10:19 am » wrote: ↑ Not necessarily..

Not necessarily premeditated..
And you need some type of premeditation for murder one..
I just don't see it...
And another point...
Motive???

Now, it is possible that someone left only 1 live round in the cylinder. If so, then why haven't we received this information by now? And, if only 1 round was in the gun, then someone would have had to know where to put that round so that when the hammer is cocked, that one round rotates to line up with the barrel and hammer. That sounds quite intentional to me.
Always. We always check cylinders and chambers when handling guns. It's just what gun people do when handling firearms - like shaking hands or wiping your feet on the mat before entering someone's house.Huey » 20 Jan 2024, 11:22 am » wrote: ↑ I also think any actor needs to be as safety conscious as us little people are. If I hand you a firearm the first thing you will do is check to see if it is loaded. Although normally when I hand a firearm to someone I drop the magazine and lock the slide back. For a revolver I drop the cylinder. Actors also need to know the difference between blanks and live rounds.
But being an actor,Baldwin isn't a gun person.Skans » 20 Jan 2024, 11:45 am » wrote: ↑ Always. We always check cylinders and chambers when handling guns. It's just what gun people do when handling firearms - like shaking hands or wiping your feet on the mat before entering someone's house.

He's an idiot.
Most are.
It's natural for someone like you,Huey or other person familiar with firearms to check it when it's handed to you, whether the person handing you the gun tells you it's loaded or not.
For someone like Baldwin, guns are props or toys at the most.
They had to break the actual gun to get it to fire without pulling the trigger.Huey » 19 Jan 2024, 4:09 pm » wrote: ↑ HIs original defense was he did not pull the trigger. But the FBI showed the weapon had to have the trigger pulled. Probably had a hammer block.
Maybe. Baldwin sure has been around guns. And, most "props" used in modern movies are real guns. I suppose what bothers me the most about Baldwin is that he has lied. You and I both know exactly what it takes to fire a Single Action Army revolver. He had to cock the hammer and then press the trigger. Once he cocked the hammer, it was inevitable that he would also press the trigger. Now, why would he lie about that? The gun didn't just go off all by itself.Squatchman » 21 Jan 2024, 4:53 am » wrote: ↑ But being an actor,Baldwin isn't a gun person.
