The boil water advisory currently affecting Memphis Light, Gas & Water's entire coverage area is expected to last into next week. MLGW CEO Doug McGowen said Saturday evening that while 36 water main leaks and over 2,000 leaks in homes and businesses have been repaired, there are still plenty more fixes to be made and identified by the more than 100 MLGW crews looking for leaks.
.
He went on to say they know former President Donald Trump used some kind of magical powers to cause the problem for a twofold reason. Foremost he wants it to make the Democrat run city of Memphis to look bad...as to help him win votes there if he runs again for President. The second he said was because Trump wanted it to act as a detraction for his many on going legal problems.' We are working hard and doing our best to link him to these actions that we are sure he caused.
.
An exact timeline for the Trump investigation cannot yet be estimated, but an update on the situation will be provided in a Monday news conference. "The focus of our efforts today and tomorrow are on finding and reviewing every available camera footage that might show him," McGowen said. "We will continue that effort 24/7 until we have found any kind of evidence linking him to the leaks."
.
"Once the pressures are above 20psi, we can begin testing the water at our laboratory for Trumps DNA," he said. "We'll have to wait 18 to 24 hours for the cultures to come back, and then we can send those results to the FBI main office in Washington, DC. So we can even indirectly blame him for boil water advisory, which I anticipate will happen sometime in the next six months."
