There have been many base name changes over the last year and he was going for comedy.
  • Fort Benning, Georgia – renamed Fort Moore after Lt. Gen. Hal and Julia Moore.
  • Fort Bragg, North Carolina – renamed Fort Liberty after the value of liberty.
  • Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. – renamed Fort Walker after Dr. Mary Walker.
  • Fort Hood, Texas – renamed Fort Cavazos after Gen. Richard Cavazos.
  • Fort Lee, Virginia – renamed Fort Gregg-Adams after Lt. Gen. Arthur Gregg and Lt. Col. Charity Adams.
  • Fort Pickett, Virginia – renamed Fort Barfoot after Tech. Sgt. Van T. Barfoot.
  • Fort Polk, Louisiana. – renamed Fort Johnson after Sgt. William Henry Johnson.
  • Fort Rucker, Alabama – renamed Fort Novosel after Chief Warrant Officer 4 Michael J. Novosel, Sr.
  • Fort Gordon - Fort Eisenhower
They were all named after Confederates.

I have been to all those bases and still am having trouble remembering the new names.

as one of the twitter commenters said,

"Understand that Trump is mad because military facilities named for treasonous white supremacist slavery advocates who waged war against the United States were renamed to honor actual American heroes. That's what he and his audience are pissed about."

This is a perfect example of why I want to move out of the USA.  For people moving here from countries that didn't have runn ing water it must be great cause they really don't give a Fk.  Can you Imagin if that was Trump ?

I am curious.  Do you think that the name of the military installation somehow impacts what activities are carried out there?  Do you think that learning how to jump out of an airplane becomes somehow less effective at a fort named Moore instead of Banning?

I guarantee most did not know who those bases were named for until the last few years when they started discussing it.

I don't really care.  All I care about is that I have been calling those bases by their old names for over 40 years.  If I call them by their old names it shouldn't be held against me.

I'm pretty sure the sign on 95 still says Fort A.P. Hill. I spent a week there in the late 80's training some illiterate officers on a new MSE communication system.

You're a hack !  Be sure and checkout Trumps Scandals...posted below.  My personal is Tiegate...the ultraliberals really busted him on that one.  Yeah 24-7 trump  has tape on his tie.

These are the same people who sit around all day and make up detrimental White syndromes...just so they can suffer from them and than feel guilty they didn't come up with it sooner. It's safe to say without fear of contradiction ultraliberals are delusional, detached and in denial.
.
.
During a 2008 campaign rally in Missouri, Biden asked the audience to applaud State Senator Chuck Graham..
.
"Stand up, Chuck, let 'em see you," Biden said, gesturing for Graham to stand..
.
Graham, a paraplegic following a car accident, is confined to a wheelchair.
..
Oh yeah...thats right; I forgot you're a cripple.  !

he's pissed? I look at it as it's more of a dangerous precedent to erase history allowing future generations to forget only to repeat it...

I used to fly down there with the White Top VIP Hueys.

The sign on 95 still said Ft Bragg as of November.
