climate change happening here...been in the deep freeze for a week...WOOHOO!

This fake climate change is cyclical. I live in maine and we always have whacky weather.. Iv'e seen winters with snow piled up to the roof. my friends dog climbed onto the roof. LOL
we've had freezing rain winters-
we've had open winters- no snow.
horrible cold winters too.
This year seems to be strange- snow -then horrible rain on top of it.

The only thing i can pin point- that it's odd. We are infested with TICKS. never saw a tick in 30 years...
could be just bug cycles.
maineman will know- we had the spruce budworm and others...

I hope so- my car is stuck in the driveway from the past two weeks storms.     after that cold- probably has a dead battery.
it's be ok if someone would start the thing.

run an extension cord out there and the battery up to a trickle charger. It'll be all charged up by the next day.

ticks have been a problem in southern Maine since I first arrived in '82.

But you're right... I don't recall that budworm thing until recently

Not here- I had a girlfriend... She stopped on the side of the road to look at a dead moose- she was curious..
She told me hundreds of ticks were crawling up her legs... in like a minute....
She stripped her clothes off-  left them- ran-
And drove home in her bra!

I've lived in the same area 62 yrs...as a kid, winters were brutal....but then, what did I know?

now they're all over the place... I do like the "milder winters" tho...but last year we had the 3rd snowiest on record...then who can forget the "polar vortex"?

We have a short growing season- i'd sure like to grow somethin- like eggplant- 
Imagine if global warming was really- real. Crops would be growing up north... there would be so much food!

I think there is a big difference between being a racist on the one hand and not being able to - or caring to - sympathize with African Americans and their strongly held animus towards the Confederacy on the other.  I am not implying the former, but am merely stating that I observed the latter.  I  hope you can respect THAT.

It's just part of our history. blacks wallow in it.
Erasing it for some harm they think was done to them- is years gone by.
They seem to forget a war WAS fought-to free them? And a ton of white men died for it!

I don't think it is wrong for blacks to firmly believe that their great-great-grandparents being owned as property was something harmful done to them.
