My uncle is a big coin collector.  Ever since he was a kid.  He's a bit eccentric, but a nice guy.

Anyhow, he won't collect coins based on his like or dislike of a president.  So, for example, he like to collect FDR dimes.  He really likes the earliest, from 46 to 49.  He likes the dimes that weren't struck with the "S."  But he collects those BECAUSE he likes FDR.

He won't touch nickels with Jefferson, but is all over buffalo nickels.  He won't touch Washington quarters, either.  But he likes Hamilton currency.  Go figure.

I was going to ask if anyone knows anyone like this, but it sounds far fetched.
