And yet, CNBC reported in November about a NY Times poll that showed 81% of registered voters feel the economy is in either poor or fair condition.Bidencrimefamily » 25 Jan 2024, 3:45 pm » wrote: ↑ https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/25/gdp-q4- ... arter.html
The Biden economy keeps beating estimates and grows faster than the Reagan years.
Inflation dropped faster than Reagan
Unemployment beats Reagan.
Biden is the new king of the economy.

In politics, perception is more important than fact.

The new polls show 60% say they are doing well.
Of course in November the headlines were we were headed to a recession. And Elon musk was even saying we were going to see a crash on the stock market.
Now everybody knows that isn't happening consumer spending is setting records. And people don't spend lime they are if they are struggling.
FYI - Real Clear Politics has the average poll results on Biden's handling of the US economy...58.6% disapprove of the way he is handling it.Bidencrimefamily » 25 Jan 2024, 4:12 pm » wrote: ↑ That was three months ago Skippy.

Just tells you how the Americans don't know much about the economy.ConsRule » 25 Jan 2024, 4:20 pm » wrote: ↑ FYI - Real Clear Politics has the average poll results on Biden's handling of the US economy...58.6% disapprove of the way he is handling it.

Because Biden promised he would do that.
No...it exemplifies what I said earlier. In politics, perception is more important that fact. If Sleepy Joe cannot figure out a way to get people to forget about the highest inflation in more than a generation we experienced in 2022, forget that the average price of gasoline is still 33% higher than it was when he took office, their average food bill each month has gone up over 13%, etc. he may be in trouble.Bidencrimefamily » 25 Jan 2024, 5:16 pm » wrote: ↑ Just tells you how the Americans don't know much about the economy.
Because people got in way over their heads. And possibly the fact the used cars went for a premium after covid.Z09 » 25 Jan 2024, 5:35 pm » wrote: ↑ By the way ...
Have you read how car repossessions are way up...?
Why is that?
Mostly because of supply chain issues and used cars going for way over what they were worth before Trump.Z09 » 25 Jan 2024, 5:35 pm » wrote: ↑ By the way ...

When you gotta pay 33% more for a used car the car note is way higher.Z09 » 25 Jan 2024, 5:50 pm » wrote: ↑ So people can't pay their car loans cause the economy is so good?
After a couple of down years, vehicle repossessions are up by 20.4%, according to Cox Automotive. During the pandemic, Americans received stimulus funds to spend on themselves and their cars. Subsequently, less people were missing their payments.Dec 20, 2023Z09 » 25 Jan 2024, 5:50 pm » wrote: ↑ So people can't pay their car loans cause the economy is so good?
The index has now rebounded nearly 60% after plumbing record lows in June 2022. It is now just 7% shy of the historical average since 1978. Joanne Hsu, the director of the University Of Michigan's Surveys of Consumers, noted that "Democrats and Republicans alike showed their most favorable readings since summer of 2021."ConsRule » 25 Jan 2024, 4:09 pm » wrote: ↑ And yet, CNBC reported in November about a NY Times poll that showed 81% of registered voters feel the economy is in either poor or fair condition.

If things are so great why are these facts saying differently?
The best way to determine that would be to compare the metrics by which Grifty's economy was so Yuge......(down, hole!)Z09 » 25 Jan 2024, 7:24 pm » wrote: ↑ By the way ..
Have you heard the staggering amount of credit card debt?

Like a few days ago California giving free sex change operations to illegals...
Why bother?
Credit card debt is record high
Home sales 28 year low.
And car repossessions are up 20%
But everything is fine in Biden Land
If the economy is so great why are people putting so much on credit?
