As had been the case through the year, a strong pace of consumer spending helped drive the expansion. Personal consumption expenditures increased 2.8% for the quarter, down just slightly from the previous period.

State and local government spending also contributed, up 3.7%, as did a 2.5% increase in federal government expenditures. Gross private domestic investment rose 2.1%, another significant factor for the robust quarter.

The chain-weighted price index, which accounts for prices as well as changes in consumer behavior, increased 1.5% for the quarter, down sharply from 3.3% in the previous period and below the Wall Street estimate for a 2.5% acceleration.

Thank you for, once again, trying to change the subject.  Consumer sentiment primarily measures how people (everyone...regardless of their eligibility or likelihood to vote) feel about their personal finances and the short term health of the economy.  OK...the post you quoted had nothing to do with people's personal finances.  It was about a survey that showed the overwhelming majority of registered voters feel the overall economy is in either poor or fair condition.  Those two are not the same thing...close, but no cigar.  Additionally, even if consumer sentiment is on the rise, the majority of registered voters disapprove of how Sleepy Joe is handling the economy.

The consumers are spending more money. Most Americans don't know that the economy is kicking ***. Most Americans don't understand that the economy is better than it has been in history.

The Republicans want to talk down the economy and say it's bad. They want Americans to be unhappy.

That is EXACTLY the problem Biden is facing.  In politics, perception is much more important than fact.  That is especially true when "numbers" and/or "statistics" are used...because everyone of voting age understands numbers can be manipulated to paint whatever picture you want them to paint.

Exactly. I was talking to an old boy up at the bar. And I told him that America is producing more oil than at any time in history. And he flipped out and I showed him the headlines and he said that liberal news. So I asked him what news he trusted and he told me and I showed him a headline from that news source that said exactly what I was saying. He went stomping off mumbling to himself after I showed him I was correct and he was wrong.

which November? November is springtime in the southern hemisphere at the same time it is autumn in the northern.

Intellectual relative time doesn't match genetic timing of evolving as displaced. Why won't you be honest about that little detail?
