When a retired soldier  "comes out" to inform the rest of us about what's going on..he does so out of a sense of duty to both you and me.

You don't believe that millions of kids just like me joined to learn a marketable skill and for the life long benefits after we got out...?
Even an Infantry Man if nothing else learns about "work ethic" and he can use the GI Bill after he gets out to further his education.

But then you get used by the DC machine to die and get maimed for them, and they couldn’t care less. Or maybe you end your life alone with a gun in your mouth.
