When Trump wins the nomination, what would be his best VP pick? Tucker Carlson? Robert F Kennedy Jr? I know it almost certainly won't be Nikki Haley.

I've heard Abbott's name tossed out, but that was from a huge RNC donor from Texas. Abbott could most certainly help with fund raising, but Texas probably goes to Trump without him on the ticket anyway. The plus for Abbott is he would be more palatable to the traditional base that someone like Carlson (which hopefully is a joke) or RFK Jr. Probably someone who will be a "yes man" and offers some hope of regional balance.

I believe that the Republicans will contort themselves into pretzels to do exactly the opposite of what a democratic president does. Even if it's good policy. 

You cant tell your voters everyday that democrats are the devil then kake a deal with the devil. Doesnt work.
