Right after the pandemic.. we did a bit of sleuthing and discovered some employers did not actually want to hire folks. Yes, they had the sign out but in reality.. it was just a show.

companies need skilled employees. federal programs out dated. companies hang signs. but can not afford training people. china gives free training to all. opps!!! biden trains people to kill. now i ask you confidentially. is biden right?

So what is your thought about companies putting out the sign, taking applications, and then lying and telling the world that they can't find people. I have access to their data and so know if they hire someone or not... The two companies that we looked at were a fast food restaurant and a small appliance retail outlet.

Can't find people to hire or find people worth hiring?

Just because an employer needs help doesn't mean they are going to hire any random person.

Oh... come on now. Anyone can work at a fast food restaurant. He took 21 applications. 14 of which had experience in fast food. He did zero interviews and hired no one. Two weeks later.. he was on TV saying that he is desperate for help. Of the 21, we contacted 17 and found that he had not even called back.

Hmmm.. but he came to us knowing that we track outcomes. It is how you justify your existence to the public.. if what you do results in jobs then fine. If not, then you get cut. Sorry but that is standard OP in every state.

I don't know the particulars of the employer/position you are talking about, but just because someone has industry experience doesn't mean they are worth hiring.  We have a standard practice we use to screen people who fall into a group that historically has not worked out; EVERY question must be answered on our application or the application goes into the junk stack. If you leave the reason you left previous positions blank the application immediately goes in the junk stack.  If the reason you left is "not enough hours" and it doesn't look like you went directly to another job the application immediately goes in the junk stack. If the reason you left is you couldn't get along with your supervisor/manager the application immediately goes in the junk stack. If you have a criminal record and put "will explain" in the area for detail you will never get a chance to explain because the application goes into the junk stack.  If you left because you wanted more money and didn't immediately go to a better paying job the application goes into the junk stack.

it was a fast food restaurant.. so a larger portion of the adult working population is able to do the job. If you are truly desperate for help.. you would not accept applications and then do nothing. I find it highly improbable that all 21 of these applicants fit all of the scenarios listed. I have worked in fast food (yes, it was 24 years ago) but they would hire just about anybody that maintained a body temperature of 98.6 degrees. 

all work from home jobs being replaced with ai.......if you see a help wanted sign. it is a sign that you are about to get fired. once a younger person is hired.
