"The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants,” lead supporter Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy (D-Mass.) told the Senate during debate. “It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.”That sentiment was echoed by Johnson, who, upon signing the act on October 3, 1965, said the bill would not be revolutionary: “It does not affect the lives of millions … It will not reshape the structure of our daily lives or add importantly to either our wealth or our power.”

Nice find...!
The die was cast way back then...but the [[[JWO]]] patiently waited for the patriotic WWII Generation to die off before daring to "ramp up" the pace of their Illegal Alien Invasion Program to what it is now.

And Joe voted for that bill.

TO ADOPT THE CONFERENCE REPORT ON S 1200, THE IMMIGRATION REFORM AND CONTROL ACT, WHICH WOULD AMEND THE IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY ACT, TO EFFECTIVELY CONTROL UNAUTHORIZED IMMIGRATION INTO THE UNITED STATES BY GRANTING AMNESTY TO ILLEGAL ALIENS WHO CAN PROVE THAT THEY ENTERED THE UNITED STATES PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 1982, PENALIZING EMPLOYERS WHO KNOWINGLY HIRE ILLEGAL ALIENS, AND ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL FARM WORKER PROGRAM FOR WESTERN AGRICULTURAL GROWERS. -- GovTrack.us

It's apparent that you have never owned a business where it was necessary to recognize a problem and then apply a fix to the problem.....it's almost like you were a government bureaucrat, or something.

I guess you are tone deaf.  Listen to the mayors of Denver, Chicago, NYC....

You live in a lily-white state and are immune to such issues.

Your whataboutism just went down the toilet.  And remember, Partisan, this thread is about Biden.

Now, I had plenty of thread bitching about Trump but the border was not one of them, Partisan.

so at no other time in history

This is about Biden.  No matter how hard you try.  Biden voted for the 1986 bill that gave wider authority to fine employers.

This thread is about Biden.  Feel free to start your own thread.

As far a Trump, I have no issues with his immigration policy.

You don't ignore Biden?  Junior, all you have done is bob and weave in effort to ignore dems and biden on the immigration issue.

Now put on your dunce cap and go sit in the corner.  Or go start your own thread where you can whine about trump until your TDS goes away.

Plenty of blame to go around..... The issues with our Southwest Border should have been addressed decades ago by both Parties... Much of the problem is traced to as the numbers of people crossed the Border, the Hispanic Vote in this country became a powerful enough Block where they could factor in elections ----- thus they became in a position where they could hold our politicians hostage.... Where I fault the Democrats is they adopted the political strategy of fanning the perception that any tightening of the Border or enforcement of our immigration laws was an attack on the Hispanic community...

20 years ago any discussion on these forum about tightening border security on forums like this was met with lefties claiming you did not like brown people.

You are diverting.  Because you go nuttin'.

Biden has had the ability to do what he said needed to be done in the past.  And you can say is "no one else did it".
My thinking is they'll let in as many votes as possible, strike a deal on reform and then take the "hero credit" come November...
