Bro, Im not so sure WASH DC is not very concerned about BRICS.
They may not address it as such, but they are watching closely.
BRICS just surpassed the G7 in GDP-PPP.  Thats big.

Personally, I believe something like THIS might be the future of the world...  The U.S.A. isn't currently supporting it, because "RIGHT NOW" the United States is still running the current "FIAT" currency (dollar) system... where they can just PRINT money at a whim.  THIS is what the Democrat Party seems to love, BUT, it won't be long before the $34 Trillion (and growing) U.S. debt will catch up with America (and the world)... and ALL the "FIAT" systems (which IS a WORLDWIDE PROBLEM) will implode... WHEN that day happens... a GOLD based system along the lines of BRICS may be the QUICK ULTIMATE answer for a STABLE monetary system, that the WORLD can depend on... INTO the FUTURE.

HOWEVER, to YOUR POINTS... the concept of "BRICS" is dependent on GOLD (a gold backed global currency NOT controlled by ANY ONE particular nation)... and since the U.S.A. (and aligned western nations) are STILL the largest holders of gold in the WORLD (and by a LOT)... there is NO version of BRICS that could be successful without the involvement of NON BRICS countries... So, EITHER BRICS is JOINED by the U.S.A. and other aligned NATO and Asian nations... OR, THEY will be forced to CREATE something similar... WHICH, I PERSONALLY think will happen within the next 5-10 years !

SO, It's NICE that BRICS is doing the leg work in getting BRICS off the ground... BUT, ultimately, for it to be successful (and if the indicated gold reserves are accurate), it will EITHER REQUIRE the involvement of "Western aligned nations"... OR BRICS, will need to merge with a similar solution that is initiated BY "Western aligned nations" !!

THIS solution MUST be driven by GOLD backed, Multi National, Monitary system... OR, it simply will not work !

I made the suggestion to send them to Easter Island. No neighbors. They are cutoff from the rest of the world. The world would probably be more peaceful.
