Carlson said he wanted to “talk to people, look around, and see how it’s doing ... and it’s doing very well”.

When asked by a reporter if he was in Moscow to interview Putin, Carlson said “We’ll see,” before smiling.

but this country is so divided, a divide that won’t be gone in my lifetime 

divided on everything except war
