Russia's actions in Ukraine have ALREADY resulted in a MAJOR FAILURES for Russia, and MAJOR Victories for Ukraine, NATO, and America... THESE are Losses and Failures THAT Russia may NEVER recover from !  What's more...The MASSIVE losses in terms of equipment and men that Russia has absorbed, is ONLY one VERY small part of it... ALTHOUGH BAD... WHAT is EVEN WORSE is:

1)  Norway and Sweden agreeing to JOIN NATO, making the Baltic Sea a NATO lake, and the strategic value of Kaliningrad meaningless !

2)  Poland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and the Baltic States... ALL doubling their military commitments and funding... and ALL upgrading and modernizing their weapons systems to PROVEN U.S. Made hardware... BECAUSE of the Russian invasion !

3)  ALSO, BECAUSE they KNOW if Russia were to be successful in Ukraine they KNOW they would be NEXT... So, even if the USA does NOT continue support for Ukraine... Poland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and the Baltic States... WILL !

4)  The COMPLETELY OUTMATCHED Russian technology and tactics... ON DISPLAY for the WORLD to SEE ! and...

5)  Even with U.S. Funding stopped.. Ukraine IS STILL fighting Russia to a stalemate, it has KICKED Russia OUT of Servasterpol, and the missile strikes (and other strikes/attacks) into Crimea, are PROVING Russia is going to have ONE HELL of time trying to HANG ON to Crimea !

6)  With the MUCH of the fighting in a bit of a quiet period... Ukraine is STILL MOTIVATED to FIGHT for their Freedom. and NOT succumb to the Russian yoke again... While Russan's are More and MORE angry... WONDERING WHY they are in this war...

I think it's virtually impossible to know the truth of what's really going on in their war.  Both have a long history of phony propaganda.

You make some good points.  I might add that the number of military men and even men conscripted into Russia's military is at its lowest point in history.  This together with the point you made about Kalinigrad inspire me to make a new topic about this, so as not to hijack yours.

(i.e. U.S.A, Canada, Europe, Japan, S. Korea, and Australia)...  THEY have MANY TIMES the amount of gold than ALL the BRICS countries currently have combined !

YOU don't understand... BRICS is supposed to be a GOLD based currency... BUT, only represents maybe 15% of the worlds GOLD supply.  If you add the U.S., Europe, Britain, Japan and the rest of the Western aligned nations... THEY probably represent 70% of the existing GOLD reserves. 

IF BRICS gains traction, and WHEN they WEST decide to act... BRICS ONLY option will be to JOIN the nations representing the 70% of existing GOLD RESERVES !!
