YEP... THAT'S RIGHT !!  Maine has NOT kept voter rolls up to date... and now, the court has said that disseminating the voter file to the public is ‘necessary’ if they want to ‘fix irregularities’ in the state’s voter rolls.

HA!!  BUT, THAT'S a trick question... MAIN DOES NOT want to fix the voter rolls... HOW can the CHEAT if people are WATCHING what they're doing???

"A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of a conservative-backed group, concluding that Maine’s restrictions on the release of voter lists violated the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA)."

"The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) filed a lawsuit in February 2020 after the Maine Secretary of State’s office denied the foundation’s request for a copy of the state’s voter registration file and voting histories in 2019.   In a ruling on Feb. 2, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit said that disseminating voter file information to the public is “necessary” if members of the public or organizations are “ever to identify, address, and fix irregularities in states’ voter rolls by exercising their private right of action under the NVRA.”

Every "vote by mail" state has dirty voter registration rolls.
Los Angeles was forced to delete 1.6 MILLION bad registrations in a state where they send ballots to everyone registered.

Why, because no dead people have come forward to complain?

Another perfect example of liberal reasoning.

Clean voter rolls and honest elections are a thing of the past....just like in Russia, China and North Korea....those who count the votes determine who they want to win....elections have nothing to do with the actual voters

you do realize that dead people are not required to rise up from the grave and go to their town offices to report their deaths and that it is fairly common for there to be a time lag between a voter's death and their removal from the voter rolls?

THAT in itself is a form of election FRAUD !

...AND, may be a GREAT reason to RE-ENGINEER the current election systems (in all states) to make them UNIFORM, and FRAUD FREE !!

SOME of the elements that are ABSOLUTELY Required are:

1)  Traceable and Verifiable Paper Ballots that are MAINTAINED for 20 years BY LAW (NO exceptions)

2)  A National Election day HOLIDAY... ALL elections are Conducted, Completed, and CLOSED on THAT DAY !

3)  Computer systems are used to register voters and maintain ACCURATE and UP TO DATE voter records... based on a UNIQUE Identified (i.e. Social Security Number) !

4)  Tampering with, or Falsifying, or Manipulating voting records... woill be a FEDERAL OFFENSE, punishable by MANDATORY Jail Time, and Financial Penalties !!

All that would take a constitutional amendment.

No way that passes muster in 38 states.

IS THAT EVEN AN EXCUSE?  If all other states are CORRUPT and DYSFUNCTIONAL... is THAT an excuse for Maine?

The TRUTH is, I don't know about all the other states... I'M SURE, that some are better, and some are worse... BUT, it's NOT an excuse for ANY state to be in such a SORRY state... when our VERY Democracy hangs in the balance !!

NO... it would PROBABLY take a Federal mandate, and action by all 50 states to CLEAN UP, and to MAKE their voting process LESS INCLINED to be CORRUPTED and INFLUENCED by UNSCRUPULOUS and PARTISAN politicians, and SPECIAL Interest groups...  Since the states are ULTIMATELY responsible for their voting process !!

HOWEVER... I think it would take a deep dive investigation by a group of TRUSTED, and NON Partisan, individuals (from BOTH parties)... to IDENTIFY ALL the short comings of the CURRENT election processes in ALL 50 states, FOLLOWED by a REPORT, RECOMMENDATIONS, and GOALS... and then STRONGLY REQUEST each of the 50 states to implement the recommended Corrective Action !!

THEN, let the American PEOPLE do the rest !!
