Let the WHINING and gnashing of teeth begin!!

The SCOTUS will rule, 9-0, that the STATES do NOT have the authority to remove Trump from ANY ballot.

Even Maine will NOT be able to prevent it @maineman  !!!

ONLY Congress has the AUTHORITY UNDER SECTION 5 of the 14th Amendment to determine is someone was involved in an "insurrection" and can be removed from the ballot!!

Even the LWNJ justices agreed today!!

It's nice to know that I live rent-free inside the apiarist's head. I don't visit there very often, however, as empty and cavernous as it may be up there... I have the fool on ignore and will continue to do so.

But while I am here - I can't ignore the list of thread names-  I will say that I never gave this case much chance, especially if it were framed as an all-or-nothing sort of case where the SCOTUS ruling would apply to all states.   I do hope they go 9-0 on the verdict. It will make it that much easier for them to rule against the clown on the Presidential Immunity case coming up soon.  I'd much rather have Joe running against a convicted felon in all 50 states than let him skate on his criminal activity and only get banned in states where he didn't have a prayer to begin with.

No, she won't. It's going to be a 9-0 decision with the impetus being that only Congress can determine the eligibility of a candidate under the 14th Amendment. As that is what the 5th section of the 14th says- Congress has the power to legislate this article. There is no leeway on that and even ol Sotomeyor has to agree on that one.

AND it may include that there is no single standard under the Constitution for any State to use as some States said no insurrection, and others thought there was. And that Congress has set no legal definition or standard for ANY State to use.

@maineman  is going to get BITCH SLAPPED MASSIVELY when that ruling comes down!!

"I will say that I never gave this case much chance"

Yeah but when your Sec of State took Trump off the ballot you priased her and said "Sheena is doing a great job"...

She's doing a great job but at the same time you're saying her decision doesn't stand much of a chance?

Why not...."This has no chance and she's wasting time and resources"....???
