I guess they didn't read down and just ran with the headline as usual.
What's even funnier to me is the fact that the guy that was arrested was an FBI informant from Russia.

All that story does is give you a bunch of allegations, reports, and statements WITHOUT A SINGLE SCRAP OF PROOF OF ANYTHING!
So tell us, genius. Do you still believe that Trump hire prostitutes to piss on Obama's hotel bed? There is NOTHING untoward about the Trump Corporation negotiating a hotel deal with Russia years prior to his decision to run for president, is there? And isn't it a FACT that Hillary and the DNC are the ones who bought and paid for the Steele Dossier? And isn't THAT and attempt to interfere with the election by them for intentionally spreading lies that you're completely unable to substantiate?
And once you're able to admit how absurdly ridiculous that charge is, how is it even possible to believe that any of the other unproven allegation in it were true?

Why would I listen to either. The primary source of the information is Biden and Shokin. A secondary source is Trump, since he actually made calls to investigate this while he was President. Remember, the Democrats impeached Trump for looking too closely at this.

AllSides February 14th, 2024
A report released on Tuesday revealed that under the Obama administration, the United States Intelligence Community (US IC) directed its foreign allies to spy on Donald Trump and his associates well before the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation in 2016 into alleged Trump campaign collusion with Russia. The joint report by veteran journalists Michael Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi, and Alex Gutentag, citing sources close to a House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HSPCI) investigation, stated– the US IC requested that its “Five Eyes” allies — the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand — surveil Trump and his associates and share any information gathered. Obama’s CIA Director, John Brennan, identified 26 Trump associates for surveillance and manipulation, an assignment confirmed by a source within the US IC.

Are THOSE actions considered illegal in your warped, partisan mind? Or don't you even believe it when a far left source who hates Trump like the NY Times does tells you about their crimes?:

Last year, John Durham, a special prosecutor for the Department of Justice (DOJ), concluded that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) should never have opened its investigation of alleged collusion by then-presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and Russia in late July of 2016.Now, multiple credible sources tell Public and Racket that the United States Intelligence Community (IC), including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), illegally mobilized foreign intelligence agencies to target Trump advisors long before the summer of 2016.The new information fills many gaps in our understanding of the Russia collusion hoax and is supported by testimony already in the public record.Until now, the official story has been that the FBI’s investigation began after Australian intelligence officials told US officials that a Trump aide had boasted to an Australian diplomat that Russia had damning material about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. In truth, the US IC asked the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance to surveil Trump’s associates and share the intelligence they acquired with US agencies, say sources close to a House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HSPCI) investigation. The Five Eyes nations are the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
