The amount includes a $354 million penalty plus nearly $100 million in pre-judgment interest.
A spokesperson for Attorney General Letitia James confirmed to the AP that Trump will begin accruing interest of $111,984 per day.

- Trump now must pay $454 million in fines or secure a bond within 30 days.
- Trump's legal team has said they will appeal the verdict.

I posted this last week.
According to NY law, you're supposed to pony up the cash in a civil case before you're even allowed to file an appeal... although the court nearly never demands it in most cases.
Of course with Trump they are... because ORANGE MAN BAD.
But it's not political or anything.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people

I actually see this growing his fan base among the electorate. People generally don't like to see other people getting railroaded by "the man"... even if it's someone like Trump.
