That is like saying firearms that shoot projectiles. from rocksalt/bb's to 50 caliber rounds, there are slingshots as dangerous as small caliber handguns.

They've been advertised to the public in the past as assault rifles before the connotation took on a dark meaning..
Now owners take umbrage when they're called assault weapons. And manufacturers now call them sporting rifles.

But they really are assault weapons.

I now own 3 AR platform guns. .223//.5.56, AR 15 a 450 bushmaster AR 15 and a .308 AR 10
And they aren't for hunting game.
Could be but I own other rifles for that.
The ARs I own are for defense against people.
