         Palm Beach County where I live is considered the Rehab Capital of the East Coast... 
  We probably have more Rehabs, Halfway Houses & Detox Facilities per square mile than just about anywhere...

        So many young folks have been sent down here for Drug Treatment, only to relapse, be thrown out of their treatment centers and die of a Fentanyl overdose... It's horrible.

           We're way behind the UK when it comes to Knife Crime --- though I've no doubt we'd quickly surpass them if we didn't have Guns....
England & Scotland have had an epidemic of sorts of Knife Crime for many years ----

           And with the addition of so many immigrants, particularly in England, there's been a huge increase in the number of Migrant Gangs and stabbings ...... Apparently the Blade of choice for these foreign street thugs are called "Zombie Knives"...... These are typically machete length knives, with both a smooth & serrated edge which are producing horrific wounds and deaths...

   It was a gift from the wife a few years ago.
My only damascus blade. Maybe the last. I opened a pack of bird suet with it and the fat left marks in the raw steel.  Something about the acids in the fat?

Hmm, I have never had a damascus.  My Bigcat is D1 steel.  I do have a Morakniv carbon that discolors, but I think it looks cool.

  I've learned to just oil it now and then.
It was dry when it got the weird "smudges?"
