Could be? Just because he hasn't been caught yet. and yet he has and nobody will stop him until he is. Watching the news when I was a teen I recogned my brain follows the patterns of serial killers after they were caught. Now what separates me from them is my awareness of what I am even though most of my life there wasn't an actual explanation why my thought patterns didn't match people that mind reality as if life depends on it.

This is why I focus on ideologies directing human behavior, not humans behaving as directed by rule of law.

They are a nice distraction from the chaos. Golden's can be quiet destructive. We added up $3k in damages from one past Golden. Training and exercise are the key to keep those fairly expensive Pennsylvania Cherry Wood pieces of furniture from ending up at salvation army.

I think pits and bullies are great.

Soft Coated Wheeten Terriers are excellent.

I will never own a pit, will never be around them long and would never allow any of my grandchildren to be around them if I have any control at all.  Some family members have them and so far so good.  However, there are far too many stories in the news, almost daily, about a family pet pit attacking a kid.

I know people frown on breeders and push adoptions.  We have done a lot of research and have decided on a Goldendoodle.  A rescue group is out of the question.  I refuse to fill out more paperwork for a pet than we had to complete to build our new home.  Besides, a lot of rescue groups are a pain in the *** to deal with.  Our son went to one when they were getting their Sheltie...the group wanted semi-annual updates on the dog and the right to make in home visits to check the environment.  **** them.

Well, it already is a flagrant tragedy of course but I was thinking @murdock could end up the same way as furby.. @RunningWithScissors .. he was happily posting posting from his cell in the asylum till one day he went too far and they took his posting rights away.. we never found out why, he wasn't diddlin with animals, only with Billy Joel..

I was convinced that only **** owned pits, and was nervous about the first one, but I've had a bunch of them by now. Keeping a pit/dane mix for a young couple

Their owners all take their responsibility seriously, and the dogs are the most affectionate of any breed/type I see....


But they are incredibly strong, and people have to know what they're doing.

Not just compulsive chewers, but Goldens are KLEPTOMANIACS too...!!    
I've owned two, both made it to age 17.
They would go out on neighborhood patrols and find things like a single high heel shoe, a baby doll, a woman's purse, hand tools, etc....then bring the new "chew toy" home and stash it in their dog house.
Whenever I discovered their latest "acquisition" I would lower my voice in disapproval and let them know I thought that this was "SOOOOOOO FUUUUUUUKING BAAAAAD"...   
You could tell by their body language they got the message [but not enough to make them turn over a new leaf]     
A neighbor's Golden would pay visits and chew up my garden hoses and cedar  porch railings. 
I finally had to shoot the dog a few times in the *** with a BB gun  to discourage it from coming over.
