As a poster, I very much miss the search feature - and I know that many others do, as well. The reason why we do not have the search is that every month, we are hitting in the 90% range of our current limits - and search is a gluttonous user of CPU. 

In order to get the search back, we're going to have to change ISPs. Our current provider cannot give us adequate service. We are paid up for a couple of years, and I do not YET know whether we can get our money back if we migrate servers. 

Getting the search back is going to cost both time and money. If there is enough interest that enough people will be willing pony up a few bucks, Ronjul will make a research project of the matter. 

I am not asking for donations. We're paid up for two years. I'm just trying to get a feel for how much people want the search back before I ax Ronjul to paper-chase. 

I apologize for not finding a clever way to work in the word ***.

I search my own **** once in a great while. If I posted something that piqued my interest I will probably not save it on my own.

Sometimes I'll remember something I saw here (maybe my own stuff and maybe not).
But I can live without it.

It is funny when people bring up **** from many months ago totally out of context though.

The last time I clicked on the search button (which isn't even there now) it took me to a Yandex search engine that seemed to be catered to this site.

Yandex is the Russian version of Google.

Color me shocked.

I've been able to prove what  habitual liars bidencrimefamily and Black Veg / Action Jackson are by searching their "Activity and Notification" history.

Yandex is actually one of my backup search engine/browsers too. It's pretty reliable and it isn't Google so, it's a solid alternative when researching a topic.

As for the topic, I personally wouldn't use an internal search feature here that much... not that I wouldn't if it were there but just not regularly. I rarely if ever used the one on .org

I could see someone like Rico living on the damn thing though.
