Talking about UK royals.
I have heard various opinions on this. It's about 50-50. Many are very adamant either way.
The problem is that I haven't seen good numbers on this.

Per The Standard (UK News), the annual cost of the Royal Family is $136.5 million (based on current exchange rate). That equates to about $2/person each year.
