Nothing unexpected there.  But, the guy looked old as dirt.  Then, I looked up his age and realized that Joe Biden is 10 years older than Jerome Powell.

Why would you waste your time "watching" him speak? Just read the transcript or a summary. 

Do you think J Powell actually moves markets instead of the other way around (the Fed reacts to market moves)?

Jerome Powell?  I watch him speak for little nuances in what he says - gives you clues about what the Fed intends to do, and sometimes, just sometimes, the market overreacts one way or the other.  That presents trading opportunity.

Joe Biden's SOTU speech?  I will watch that for the same entertainment value I get when watching NASCAR, MMA cage fighting, Indy 500 and North Korean rocket launches....
