I always find it interesting how people with the most information end up "killing themselves"...........and nobody questions it.

While I am usually going to side with the whistleblower (scrutiny isn't a bad thing, after all),
this article via CBS is kind of typical-stupid.

They add some "maintenance issues" to the mix that belong to a different plane: the 777.
Might as well throw in clogged toilets on an L-1011. And tarmac cracks...

Destroying their own credibility seems a tad counter-productive.

But, don't you find it at least a little strange that a whistleblower, who already his deposition, or most of it, just decided to blow his brains out in his truck?  I suppose if they could show that the gun used for the alleged suicide was one that the whistleblower purchased.  Then .... maybe. Don't you think that tracing the gun would be one of the first things the cops/FBI would do?  I'm not saying its impossible, but I would think that there are very few if any "hit jobs" pulled of using the owner's own gun.

Maybe the gun was missing.
He had enough brain matter left to toss it into a garbage can...  

The reason to leave the actual weapon there is to make the suicide appear legit, right?
That's gotta be Assassination 101.
Also, it prevents/negates authorities having to turn over rocks unnecessarily and finding extra ****.
