I didn't see much--if any--in the article that mentions economics. Niger has a lot of molybdenum, coal, uranium, oil, iron, among other natural resources. My guess is that it's what it's always about--money. I believe Africa will shortly be the new battleground for proxy conflict. I would be embarrassed to acknowledge the UK imperializing Niger for many years. It seems to be the same, but more subtle. Or slick. Take your pick on that one.

My post from yesterday, sir.    Integral to this is Niger selling Uranium to Iran.

Niger is being naughty.  Thats code for making their own decisions.  Autonomy.  

That ''code'' has led to MILLIONS and MILLIONS of maimed & murdered brown women and children
over the last several decades.  WASH DC's favorite pastimes:

-murdering brown people
-cutting off kids genitals

Joe has decades of experience in supporting both of these.

Here's a lovely tidbit. Putin's forward movement in Ukraine will continue, he says. Peace that freezes the lines at status quo is no longer a viable option, thanks to the drone attacks against Russian cities and energy infrastructure.
