Most people who worked to attain  an education, a marketable skill and a professional credential  would rather NOT  be forced to work some dead end job with no pension or benefits.
This is one of the tragic results of cowardly Biden's Illegal Alien  policy.
Hopefully the Leftist Labor Union Rank & File Members will realize this and finally  get RED PILLED enough to break ranks.

Yeah, of course, and here's the "choice" for the remaining 350,000 people who DID take those part-time jobs OUT OF NECESSITY:

Do I need to buy food and gas this month now that I've lost my full-time job or should I take a couple of part-time jobs at lower wages and with no benefits to make up for losing my full-time job that also paid my health insurance?

Biden and Trump were tied at 47% among union members when asked who they’d vote for in 2024. When these swing state voters were asked how they voted in 2020, Biden won the group by an 8-point margin.
The union vote is especially important in Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Somewhere between 14% and 15% of employees in these three states are represented by unions. (Between 12% and 13% of employees in these states are themselves union members.)

The latest polling may be a surprise given that union workers are generally thought of as a strong Democratic group. It shouldn’t be.
