I remember 10 years ago, I used to mock idiot conjobs for always bitching about taxes. But the truth is those idiots were actually right. 

Buying something at the grocery store or eating out? Sales tax.

Make more than $600 on Venmo or any 1099-Misc? IRS needs to know.

Make money by working? Income and payroll taxes. Also thanks to (((Milton Friedman))) you don’t even get to receive the money first and pay later, it’s deducted from your paycheck automatically.

Want to be self employed? Enjoy paying the highest taxes of any group. 

Want to own a personal house or acres of land? Property tax.

Selling property, stock, or other assets? Capital gains tax.

[Another point worth mentioning is that a lot of “capital gains” is actually just adjustment for inflation. So if your house goes from $350K to $1M, you’re liable for $650K in CG unless you do a 1031 / some other liability deferment, but in reality maybe 50% of that $650K was just inflation]

Need gas to drive around a car since public transportation doesn’t exist? Excise tax.

Death by a thousand cuts.

He said, after his several month trip, that Venezuelans had MORE freedom than Americans! Imagine that…people who live under an (allegedly) despotic, SOSHALIZT “regime” don’t have to deal with as much bureaucratic BS…compared to here!

Currently, US dollars are still highly sought after and valuable due to its reserve currency status. If the US couldn’t just print trillions of dollars and ship them overseas electronically the living standards of the US would absolutely COLLAPSE.

During the implosion in the USSR circa 1991, almost HALF the population turned to barter and subsistence farming as the alternative was starvation. The life expectancy dropped by DOUBLE DIGITS.

That day of reckoning is coming to the USA. However, until that time approaches, I will still be taking advantage of everything I can. 

2) Almost all of my personal network is here. This too will change in the future.

The fact I am pointing out FLAWS in our status quo is irrelevant to what actions I’m supposed to take to remedy the situation. DUH!

With THAT being said, I will gracefully and humbly concede that you CONJOBS were right all along.

The TAXES (esp on the WORKING PEEPS) are TOO DAMN HIGH! Meanwhile the rent seekers / people playing around with debt pay almost nothing!

If we were getting a fair exchange of value for ESSENTIAL SERVICES for out taxes, fine.
Truth is, our government has become a DAY CARE CENTER / WELFARE SYSTEM FOR LOW SKILLED AND MINIMALLY PRODUCTIVE  AFFIRMATIVE ACTION HIRES.
Our local Snowflake led government felt that their snowflake constituents  needed a 20 foot wide, asphalt paved "nature trail" blazed through the backyards of 100 of homes in our rural county. Of course they needed to exercise Eminent Domain 100s of times to make this project possible. In doing so they greatly devalued what makes a rural property...RURAL and what the poor folks who chose the rural life their "pursuit of happiness"
 OF COURSE the Libtard Snowflake government also has a ridiculous amount of warning signage posted EVERYWHERE for their flock of effeminately raise twerps who never spent a single day of their childhoods playing outside.
Every so often as I drive past this spectacle I see a team of Park Employees with bottles of Windex and rags wiping down the 100s of signs that are posted all over Hell and half of Georgia....  
What do you suppose the Taxpayers spend on just sign maintenance alone...?
Oh yeah...this ill conceived   "Nature Trail" has become a haven for thieves, druggies, hobos and sexual predators [aka Biden Voters] also.

Most of the newly created “government jobs” is to soak up all the excess labor in the labor market. It’s not really a surprise if you see that almost the entirety of childhood “education” programs is designed to do so. 

Must be nice if you were a teacher back in 1850…as long as you had a functioning brain you wouldn’t need a Master’s + another 1-2 years of “experience” just to teach grade school. 

 And that’s just the education department…there are examples almost everywhere else.

Oh, the irony…pisspiss talked about this all the time.

Private banks print money as debt, not politicians.

The original, true intent of the income tax (1913) was to pay the interest on that newly printed debt, but over time it became clear that taxes alone were insufficient to cover all government expenses.

They changed stances later: they were just going to print more money to cover debts from previously printed money - the taxes act as a counter-inflationary tool by mopping up some liquidity. 

Your paid taxes actually don’t pay for anything at all.

We built an empire in a relatively bloodless way...mainly by jist being far away from any action...and this sort of history has ruined our perspective and our political vision.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. However, if the USA is a sinking Titanic, and you have nothing else to do…the rational course of action is to eat as much as you can at the buffet. Those illegal immigrants seem to get this idea more than those “work hard and hustle” Americans.
