All during the 1990s bin Laden was threatening the US and committing terrorism.

However, when given the oppurtunity to bin Laden Clinton decided not too.

And Suave defends this decision by claiming there was no reason to kill the man that murdered Americans and innocent people?

WTF?

I noticed in that thread he claimed you got your history from FOX.  I don't and I lived it.  Here is an interview of bin Laden by Jon Miller of ABC.

Here is one question.

Describe the situation when your men took down the American forces in Somalia.

After our victory in Afghanistan and the defeat of the oppressors who had killed millions of Muslims, the legend about the invincibility of the superpowers vanished. Our boys no longer viewed America as a superpower. So, when they left Afghanistan, they went to Somalia and prepared themselves carefully for a long war. They had thought that the Americans were like the Russians, so they trained and prepared. They were stunned when they discovered how low was the morale of the American soldier. America had entered with 30,000 soldiers in addition to thousands of soldiers from different countries in the world. ... As I said, our boys were shocked by the low morale of the American soldier and they realized that the American soldier was just a paper tiger. He was unable to endure the strikes that were dealt to his army, so he fled, and America had to stop all its bragging and all that noise it was making in the press after the Gulf War in which it destroyed the infrastructure and the milk and dairy industry that was vital for the infants and the children and the civilians and blew up dams which were necessary for the crops people grew to feed their families. Proud of this destruction, America assumed the titles of world leader and master of the new world order. After a few blows, it forgot all about those titles and rushed out of Somalia in shame and disgrace, dragging the bodies of its soldiers. America stopped calling itself world leader and master of the new world order, and its politicians realized that those titles were too big for them and that they were unworthy of them. I was in Sudan when this happened. I was very happy to learn of that great defeat that America suffered, so was every Muslim. ...

That is reason enough to bomb him.

I bet a lot of these whining bitches cast a second proud vote for Scrub in 2004, in the firm belief that he would finally make bin Laden pay.

I should also point out that Z09 is throwing this hissy because the dumb **** actually asked if we "were involved in wars" under Grifty.

That's truly sucking a bowling ball narrative through a garden hose.

Both of your posts come across as bitter and yes, whiny bitch like.  There was enough there that Clinton bombed a pharmaceutical factory suspected to be owned by bin Laden and thought to be manufacturing nerve agent for al Q.

Neither turned out to be true.

I am waitig for you to show I am wrong.  Here is another source, one you use often

The al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory (Arabic: الشفاء, romanizedaš-šifāʔlit. 'remedy') in KafouriKhartoum NorthSudan, was constructed between 1992 and 1996 with components imported from GermanyIndiaItalySwedenSwitzerlandThailand and the United States. It was opened on 12 July 1997[3][4] and bombed by the United States on 20 August 1998. The industrial complex was composed of four buildings. It was the largest pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum and employed over 300 workers, producing medicine both for human and veterinary use.
The factory was destroyed in 1998 by a missile attack launched by the United States, killing one employee and wounding eleven.[1][2] The U.S. government claimed that the factory was used for the processing of VX nerve agent and that the owners of the plant had ties to the terrorist group al-Qaeda.
These justifications for the bombing were disputed by the owners of the plant, the Sudanese government, and other governments. American officials later acknowledged "that the evidence that prompted President Clinton to order the missile strike on the Shifa plant was not as solid as first portrayed. Indeed, officials later said that there was no proof that the plant had been manufacturing or storing nerve gas, as initially suspected by the Americans, or had been linked to Osama bin Laden, who was a resident of Khartoum in the 1980s."[5] The attack took place a week after the Monica Lewinsky scandal and two months after release of the film Wag the Dog, prompting some commentators to describe the attack as a distraction for the public from the scandal.[6]

The Al Shifa manager lived in the same Sudan house where bin Laden had previously lived.[12][13]
