thru history cost of food and shelter has been around 50/50. i own my home and spends $300 a month on  food. so i am way off average. some families in my area pay over $550 a month for food and $2,200.00 month for rent. way out of balance. will shelter crash? will food go up? i believe food will triple over the next decade. bringing family cash flows closer to 50/50. monopolies, wars and sanctions will cause a runaway cost of food. and i believe rent will stay stable. runaway property tax could muddy the water. and there is always all those new building codes which could double the cost to rent.
