Some Gen Z job seekers are bringing mom and dad to interviews, and it's turning off employers, new survey finds...

• A survey found some employers favor older workers to avoid hiring recent college graduates. 
• Intelligent surveyed 800 managers, directors, and executives involved in hiring.
• One in five of the employers said a college graduate showed up with a parent for a job interview.

Thirty-nine percent of the employers who responded said they prefer to hire older job seekers over recent college graduates, in part because young professionals don't make a good first impression in job interviews. More than half of the employers said young recruits struggled to make eye contact during the interview, and 50% said they asked for unreasonable compensation. Almost half of the employers said a young job candidate showed up in inappropriate attire, and nearly 20% said a recent college grad had brought a parent to a job interview.
Young professionals also appear to have a reputation for being difficult to work with. Nearly two-thirds of employers said it was "very true" or "somewhat true" that recent college grads are "entitled," while 58% said it was very or somewhat true that they "get offended too easily."
 Nearly 60% of bosses said it was very or somewhat true that recent grads are unprepared for the workforce, with more than half agreeing that young professionals "don't respond well to feedback" and have "poor communication skills."

if I was hiring and some recruit brought mom or dad along, it would be immediate grounds for disqualification, **** snowflakes...

My wife does hiring for a company from time to time and she tells me very similar stories.
The younger generation are irresponsible and think they're entitled.

And the worst is what they wear.

I guess "Pull up your Bootstraps 101" is missing from the required curriculum... I mean, how embarrassing would it be to bring mom or dad to your interview?

I remember back in the day when Jordan and all the other stars were signing big contracts (at the time) and my boys were in awe... I had to tell them it wasn't that way in the real world..."you don't start at the top, you start at the bottom with what they offer...you show up, put your time in, and if you're good, you can write your own ticket..."

We can thank the left for this. They have dumbed down education. Many schools don't teach how to read analogue clocks anymore. They also dropped cursive from the curriculum. I remember teaching a junior in high school how to read a clock. She was pissed because of how easy it was. She couldn't understand why she wasn't taught it. It takes like 10 minutes  (if that) to learn it.

It would be wise to just kill that entire generation off. It might help save social security and Medicare

People who have never held an interview have no clue how pathetic our youth is today.  And if someone ever showed up with their mommy in tow, I'd show them both to the door before they ever sat down.

And I haven't even held job interviews in the last 15 years, so I can imagine how much worse it's become today.
I blame liberalism and the teacher's union, in that order.
