It’s time for a change — real change. As more Americans are giving up on government and democracy, the time is long overdue for Congress to stand up for the hard-pressed working families of our country. And an important step in that direction would be implementing a 32-hour work week with no loss in pay.

There are 16 hours a day that we are awake.
I spent 2 of those hours every work day commuting to and from work for about 30 years.
I would have gladly worked four 10 hour days instead of working five 8 hour days....one more day to spend on myself.
then if the Contractor really needed me to come into work [on by far the worst traffic day of the week]...then all day Friday is for "time-and-a-half" pay.
In some lines of work that require considerable time to get "set up" and more time to put things away at the end of the day...one less working day on the schedule can be advantageous for the Employer too.

40 hours is 40 hours.......plus your work force gets an extra day to take care of personal business and one less day of burning gas one less day of wear and tear on their vehicles.
Not all businesses can do it this way...but there are many that could.

Actually I agree with his views most of the time.

What are the logistics to businesses are open 24/7 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year every year every ancestor occupying time today to meet the needs of everyone not working 7 days a week getting paid for 5 the 4 days they do between adult and great great grandparent or siblings of those that did become ancestry in their future now past evolving experienced uniquely each rotation of the planet alive as specifically everything they did living?

Government needs to get out of private business. Start a business and do what you want. Don't tell other how to run their businesses. Workers and customers will tell a business if they like it or not.

Yeah. What I propose would even benefit those who work the normal five 8 hour day because there would be fewer people on the road at the end of the normal 8 hour shift, plus far fewer people on the road Friday.
For the worker who is doing four 10 hour days, that's 1 less day of paying for parking and for driving on toll roads too.
The people who participate in the "four / 10 plan" would have to agree to work those 10 hour shifts at all "regular pay" in order to sell this idea to the employers.
I am not aware of any  governments in any cities [that claim that they are working on solutions to solve Grid Lock] give this idea any consideration.
The governments could offer Employers who participate in this "FOUR / 10 PLAN" some sort of an incentive, because it would benefit everyone in our most congested parts of the USA.

The "Boomerang Effect" of course means that...."THE RICH GET RICHER and THE POOR GET POORER".
Once the little Mom and Pop Operations are done away with.....then more of your work force finds themselves working for the faceless Multi-National Corporations
