I find it applies to many people.

The answer to this question for me with regards to ghetto youths is simple: Nothing.
Bearing in mind that the opposite of love is not hate. It's indifference.
I would like to care and feel it's probably the right thing to do. But honestly, I don't.
Lowering standards, hiring quotas, can't utter certain words but they do constantly, faux outrage when it suits them, etc, etc.
Of course there's more...
At some point isn't it normal to expect some improvement? Less resentment? Showing some effort?

I'm expected to actually find compassion in my heart for a skidmark offing another skidmark?
What possible difference would it make? I have no guilt to assuage, so I'm good.

It is in our nature to love our families first and then our neighbors, with our compassion ever weakening as it radiates outward. By the time it reaches nairobi, it's an echo. People who clutch their hearts and fake seizures for "old glory" are putting on the dog. 330 million *** is WAY to many *** to give a genuine **** about - especially when the people pretending to do so drive by squalor in their own communities and give less than a **** about it.
