In a letter dated June 7, Judge Merchan writes to Trump attorney Todd Blanche and ADA Joshua Steinglass (emphasis added):Dear Counsel:

 Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System's public Facebook page and which I now bring to your attention. In the comment, the user, "Michael Anderson," states:

 "My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted...Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!!"

 The comment, now labeled as one week old, responded to a routine UCS notice, posted on May 29, 2024, regarding oral arguments in the Fourth Department of the Appellate Division unrelated to this proceeding. The posting, entitled "The Appellate Division, Fourth Department, will hear oral arguments this morning at 10," and the comment are both viewable at https://www.facebook.com/NewYorkCourts/.

Trump was scheduled to appear for sentencing on July 11 before the discovery of the Facebook comment portending to show a juror discussing details of the case and the jury's deliberations with an outside party.

Fat Alvin might try to or he might just realize that a new one would have a LOT MORE to lose than he could win. 

I imagine that the APPEALS COURT is going to take a fast and hard look at this and toss the verdict and possibly look into OTHER mistakes Merchan made and ALSO toss it based on those grounds as well.

TO ME, Mechan is trying to keep this out of the appellate courts since no judge wants to be told how bad they **** up and this case was FULL OF THEM from the first testimony to the jury not being sequestered. It would not surprise me if Merchan himself declared a mistrial and tosses the verdict to keep it out of Appeals Court.

I see the facebook post is already gone but the internet doesn't forget.. it is suspicious though, why would a family member of one of the jurors post that on the court's facebook page and why did Merchan 'discover' it now and put it out in the open.. maybe it was planned that way, to give them an excuse to declare a mistrial and not having the verdict overturned on appeal, that way they can still claim Trump is a convict but 'unfortunately' he got away with it.. but don't worry, they will get him next time..

This isn't an appeal in that sense, but malfeasance of the Jury and that is cause to declare the verdict null and void and a mistrial ruled as such.
