Another business moves it headquarters due to taxes:

Blaze Pizza joins other businesses leaving California for ‘growth’ elsewhere 

(The Center Square) – Blaze Pizza is relocating its headquarters from California to Atlanta, a move that will reduce its state corporate tax rate by more than a third. Blaze said its relocation is driven by a desire for its “next wave of growth.” 

Georgia’s annualized GDP growth was 11.8% for April, while California’s grew at an annualized 3.8% based on the latest data from the end of 2023. Founded in Southern California, Blaze has approximately ⅓ of its over 300 locations in California

And this should be a concern for them as well:

Blaze’s relocation follows Rubio’s announcement it is closing 48 California stores, shedding an estimated 1,250 jobs, and a report from the Hoover Institution finding California lost nearly 10,000 more fast food jobs after the state’s $20 per hour fast food minimum wage law was signed into effect last fall. Today, the California Business and Industrial Alliance ran a full-page advertisement in USA Today against the fast food minimum wage law with an obituary-style message on resulting business shutdowns.

Nobody said anything about US Restaurants.  This about CA losing the corporate HDQTRS of one chain, multiple stores closing for others, as well losing 10,000 Fast Food jobs.

It looks like you learned we are not discussing total restaurant sales in the US.  We are talking about the fast food industry in CA and Newsom's minimum wage and his tax laws for corporations.

And with this rate increase where are the kids supposed to get entry level jobs and learn the importance of working?

I have a niece who is a first year apprentice in the IBEW.
She makes $22 per hour [which is 45% of Journeyman scale]
She is working in the Mojave Dessert at a Solar Panel Farm.
She has a 3 hour round trip drive.
Her employer bills man hours at $150/ hour nowadays?
It wasn't easy for her to get "in" thanks to so much work that has been taken away by Illegal Aliens.
I don't think  California Government subsidized jobs [like the one she is on]  have any mandates  to hire Illegal Aliens...but would you be surprised if you heard that they do...?
 I think there is some sort of an agenda to bring women into the IBEW...[even though many of them "bomb out" after their apprenticeships are over and it's time to either sink or swim on their own].
The IBEW loses their investment in every apprentice that can't carry their weight as a Journeyman. This just gives the non union / Illegal Alien Scab Contractors more of the market share.
