The fact that they tried him for the petty **** after letting the most serious **** fall to statutes of limitations demonstrates the system is rigged - and this, after all kinds of hell raising and congressional inquiries that FORCED the justice system to take these half measures against a guy whose daddy violated our laws to protect his company and peddle influence, all of which is past the statute of limitations thanks to dishonest investigators - not unlike in the hillary clinton case, where an INVESTIGATOR, not the prosecutor, was tasked with "deciding" if her crimes should be prosecuted.

The judge is free to act tough, knowing full well that the fix is in, and the only thing a jail time sentence will do will be to force Joe to give him a full pardon right after election day so it won't hurt him politically.

Conviction on that, with him being a felon, means the points he would get to stay OUT of prison are way reduced. Repeat offenders get prison time under Federal sentencing guidelines. Judge in California will try it as a separate event.

Braindead biden's doj prosecuted crackhead hunters case because they were forced to not out of any sworn duty to uphold the law. Braindead biden's injustice department first tried to bury the case. Then when forced to prosecute it, they slow walked it as long as possible even tried to give crackhead hunter immunity from prosecution.

Quick reminder that Joe Biden's Justice Department had to be stopped from allowing Hunter to plea to a misdemeanor in exchange for immunity on all felonies, including those not even charged.

No, you misunderstood.
I have no doubt that Hunter will be convicted on many or all of the charges against him.  That's important for Biden to present a phony idea that justice is blind and Hunter is being treated just like Trump was.  That serves Biden's election purpose and will be used in his campaign.

The difference is that any guilty verdict against Hunter prior to the election will be appealed, with the appeal being heard AFTER the election so that he won't be imprisoned before that date.  After election day until Jan. 19th 2025, Biden still has the power to give him a presidential pardon whether he wins or loses the election, because there will no longer be any way to pay the price for that decision politically, since he'll never be seeking office again after election day.

Doctor Bees has it all wrong.  The guy USED to work for the DOJ.  Colangelo was the Acting Assistant AG in DOJ when Biden took office, but Biden and Garland picked their own team, and Colangelo was passed over for the permanent position, which went to Vanita Gupta.  Bragg offered him a better position and he took it, and he LEFT the DOJ.  The DOJ had nothing to do with the New York case.

Cool theory.  Justice IS blind.  Trump got convicted.  Hunter Biden got convicted.  Menedez WILL, I suspect, get convicted, as well as Cuellar.

Where justice DOES lift the blindfold just a bit is when two Supreme Court Justices refuse to recuse themselves when they have obvious conflicts of interest and have displayed unethical bias and behavior.
