The World Bank revised their numbers and put Russia 4th recently.
4th, 5th....  Pretty impressive for a 'gas station' under 100s of sanctions.

Remember the conspiracy about the gold bars being hollowed out or faked somehow with tungsten?
The theory was that tungsten costs $10/lb has the same weight and density as gold so it's next to impossible to detect the swap.
Trillions of dollars worth were amid the world reserves probably never to be reckoned with.
Some blamed India. Some blamed China.

This was a neat little story about 2 years ago or so. At least that's when I heard about it.
Maybe too fake or maybe too scary...  It faded away.

I just saw a clip about Fort Knox and the Big Reveal they did back in the 80's after so much pressure from multiple fronts. They showed the director or whatever she was in a still photo that made the magazines.
The commentary was that the claimed amount of gold in that room vs the claimed total amount was a simple calculation: There would need to be 150 such rooms to reach that amount.
