Suicides by firearm are almost exclusively carried out with handguns and shotguns and not the evil black "assault" rifles that are the number one targets of the anti-2nd Amendment crowd... and the solution to this particular issue should focus on the who and why instead of the how.

If someone wants to off themselves, taking their firearm(s) will rarely stop them. It will only serve to make them change the how.

It is a shotgun, with which you track your moving target to intercept it with a PATTERN of shot. To do so, the shooter "sweeps" across the erratically moving clay..

This is why you must stand in the cage to fire and YOU MAY NOT LOAD THE WEAPON unless you are prepared to press the target "trigger".
