The big counter-argument was that countries with heavy business ties won't go to war.
So, no problem.
In the ensuing decades we only went deeper and deeper down that rabbit hole.
All the while people were looking at a bigger, stronger, more assertive China.
What the **** did they expect?

Especially since we weren't getting friendlier with each other along the way...

This has been going on 2 or 3 decades for it to reach 40% and now you bring it up. Why are you always a generation gap behind current evolving.

My generation gap is 80 years old I am 73 years since conceived but not 73 years since birth.
