This^ is downright hilarious. Might as well say we cannot allow the sun to rise in the east. The west IS behind. Way behind. The Russian military industrial complex belongs to the state and is immediately responsive to the state's needs. The Western military industrial complex belongs to capital and is immediately responsive to the needs of capital - which are, in no particular order, profit, profit, and more profit. 

• The US also announced F-16 fighter jets are heading to Ukraine after Biden announced plans to supply new air defenses as the country continues its battle against Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Watching those get knocked out quickly, and watching the lies and propaganda that attend that catastrophe, will be extremely interesting. 

• Biden is seeking to reassure world leaders about the future of NATO and his leadership. He’s facing questions over his viability as the Democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential election amid concerns about what a second Donald Trump term would mean for the alliance.

The outgoing head of NATO refuses to play along with the democrat narrative that Trump was "bad" for NATO. He is too busy insisting that Trump was the best thing that ever happened to NATO.

Romania has had them since 2016, and they only retired their old-as-**** mig-21s last year - for contractual purposes because NATO countries want money. There is still a question whether the F-16s are fully integrated with the rest of the Romanian military.

The notion that Ukraine can make use of F-16s is extremely unlikely. Even if they are flown by seasoned American pilots, the F-16s are going to be an asterisk in the strength of the Ukrainian "military." They might on occasion harry some Russian troops, but the likelihood that they will ever be decisive in an important battle is slim.

And I say this as a person with a full military scholarship at Google University.
