Is it a ruse? Are they tugging at heart strings? IMO, highly doubtful, but only time will tell...
they even questioned a woman about the hate and shooting...she replied, "what should we expect when they refer to Trump as Hitler? Of course everyone would want to kill Hitler!

If gender is not sex, why should a gender claim change what sex you shower with?
