Sources tell Fox News that FBI agents are interviewing members of local law enforcement, specifically specifically the officer who saw shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks armed, but retreated away from the building. Crooks opened fire literally seconds later, according to law enforcement sources.  There is great frustration in the law enforcement community over the actions of this officer, sources familiar say. Butler County Sheriff Michael Slupe said in interviews with local media that a county deputy confronted Crooks moments before the shooting but ducked for cover when he peered above the edge of the roof and the killer turned the gun on him.

I’m blessed I have not had to choose a job that puts my life at such danger.

But, if you are a cop, it is your job to engage. Whether that’s a school in Uvalde or this.

The cowardice that is allowed to enter the ranks is maddening.

When he saw the shooter, he should of pulled his gun and engaged. PERIOD. He should quit immediately. He is another Uvalde type.

Had he employed a recently re-legalized bump stock, he could have left his handicapped granny to Mandalay Bay that place.

Well, since you are the self described Great White Hunter of unarmed critters and the forums expert shot and expert on all things firearms explain this to me.

The report I read was the cop was climbing on the roof with booth hands on a ledge or edge.  The shooter turned to him and pointed the weapon at the cop.

1.  With that said, as the cop is holding on, how was he supposed to draw his weapon?

2.  If the cop is standing on the roof and shooter turns and points his weapon at him, the cops attempts to grab his weapon, who wins that fight?

You are **** idiot who should not be in this conversation.  It is not a matter of a semi auto sports rifle v handgun.  It is a matter of the shooter had the drop on him.  Go back to your PG thread.
