Here is an example. It probably wasn't but if it was a M&P AR 15-22 LR and the cop had 45 ACP the cop wasn't out gunned. Same if it was a .9 mm or a .40.
If it was 5.56 the distance would have eliminated your outgunned idiocy.

ABSOLUTELY... at least put some rounds in the direction of the shooter ! IF the shooter had a rifle (which he did)... We do need an investigation. But humbly suggest you find the post where I posted the account of the cop on the roof. He was hoisted up n the air, over 8 feet, and was holding onto the edge of the roof with both hands. The shooter turned and pointed the rifle at hims. He was in no position to shoot. He then slipped and severely sprained his ankle when he fell.]
Also, I saw timeline that says he spotted the shooter at 6:11. The shooter started shooting at 6:11.

I posted later in the thread the story. The cop was over 8 feet in the air holding on to the edge of the roof with both hands. The shooter turned around and pointed the long gun at him. The cop fell the 8 feet ad severely sprained his ankle.
The shooter then started firing.
