What do you figure he gets paid?
Direct this drivel at those who insist the cop should have shot it out with the AR.*Huey » 16 Jul 2024, 11:23 am » wrote: ↑ Well, since you are the self described Great White Hunter of unarmed critters and the forums expert shot and expert on all things firearms explain this to me.
The report I read was the cop was climbing on the roof with booth hands on a ledge or edge. The shooter turned to him and pointed the weapon at the cop.
1. With that said, as the cop is holding on, how was he supposed to draw his weapon?
2. If the cop is standing on the roof and shooter turns and points his weapon at him, the cops attempts to grab his weapon, who wins that fight?
You are **** idiot who should not be in this conversation. It is not a matter of a semi auto sports rifle v handgun. It is a matter of the shooter had the drop on him. Go back to your PG thread.

A handgun v. a "sporting rifle"
Had he employed a recently re-legalized bump stock, he could have left his handicapped granny to Mandalay Bay that place.
Of course, it would be regrettable, but surely none of you sissies think freedumb is free, do ya?

It was a Butler Township police officer who encountered the gunman on the roof before the shooting. The officer was looking for the suspicious person when another officer hoisted him up so he could grab the edge of the roof, local officials said. The officer dropped back down to safety when the gunman turned and pointed his rifle at him, according to Butler County Sheriff Michael Slupe.
AND:
Butler Township Manager Tom Knights said the officer lost his grip and was not retreating when he fell 8 feet (2.4 meters) to the ground.
"He was literally dangling from the edge of a building and took the defensive position he needed to at that time. He couldn’t hold himself up,” Knights said.
The officer, who has 10 years of experience in law enforcement, severely injured an ankle in the fall and was in a walking boot, Knights said.

Still waiting your expert analysis explaing the cop was supposed to draw his weapon, @Blackvegetable
Exactly. He’s one of those sheep that registered Republican to vote for Nikki Haley to embarrass Trump and make it look like he has less Republican support.GHETTOBLASTER » 16 Jul 2024, 11:19 am » wrote: ↑ Your "sources" were quick to claim that the assassin was a republican..
That is at best 1/4 Truth that was meant to deceive gullible idiots like you and it worked like a charm.

"As of this writing, the motives of the alleged would-be assassin, who was killed on the scene by law enforcement officers, are unknown, and it remains to be seen if his political affiliations are relevant. Pennsylvania holds "closed" primary elections, in which only voters registered with a party can vote in that party's primaries. In such states, someone might register with a party not because they agree with its values, but because they want to weigh in on that party's nominees for each elected post. Also, there have also been reports the shooter donated to ActBlue, a political action committee that supports the Democratic Party and left-leaning causes."
