You have to understand that it's all about the Kameltoe train at the moment.

The machine is doing all they can to rally the troops behind someone that was polling worse than the guy she's supposedly replacing just a few short weeks ago.

It won't last. 

For every one poll that shows her up, there are ten that have her down. Even the NYT is calling the "least electable Democrat" possible.

National Polls are meaningless at this point.  It is the battleground states and independents that will tell the tale.
