Insufficient industry, readiness, innovation,
and funding hamper military’s ability
to prevail in conflict, key experts find.

“Unclassified public wargames suggest that, in a conflict with China, the United States
would largely exhaust its munitions inventories in as few as three to four weeks,
with some important munitions (e.g., anti-ship missiles) lasting only a few days.
Image

The U.S. military “lacks both the capabilities and the capacity required to be confident
it can deter and prevail in combat,” in the judgment of a congressional commission. Image

One of the reasons they came to that conclusion is the current state of the
U.S. defense industrial base compared to China’s. Image

If the usa had a war where more than like 10 people died, how on earth would they find recruits anyway? Boomers are too old, and I don't think anyone else would be willing to fight an actual war for the usa.

Agreed sir.
Recruitment is WAY done.
The Trannyfication of the military has turned millions away.
The Uke war has exposed the embarrassing state of US industrial capacity.
China is 8,000 miles away.  The logistics alone would crush the US.

It is all very funny to me.

We're ready for anything except peer or near-peer conflict. Then we're ****.

But we can still **** on tribals. You will notice that Grenada isn't trying to murder our freedoms anymore. They learned.

China can try.

We have the most modern militiary in history.

The largest military in history.

The best military in the world.

America is the best ever.
no comparisons in the world.

The U.S navy would block of imports to China which is most of their economy.

It would be starved of resources in the first few days of the war.

It's not even close.

The thing is, people fight differently when the fight, for them, is existential.

And be assured, many countries consider being forced to play the pervert and trans game an existential threat.

Prolly lots of fancy gadgets.  Things you spend billions on when fighting camels in the sand.

The issue with the AMMO production is the devil in the details.  This issue has been consistently across
all news spectrums/sources/bents for 2 years.  The West lost its industrial capacity by allowing our
sacred kristHun Capitalists (donor class) to freely chase profits overseas.

Plus 'they' expected Russia to fold in 2-3 months - Biden promised this....
....that was 30 months ago

Perfect Storms are glorious.

We saps in the automobile manufacturing sector have watched SO much **** go abroad.
I have watched literally dozens of small and large machine shops and prototype builders go under.
It is frightening.

That's just my personal experience. One person. The total number is most likely staggering.

It doesn't much matter how much money we spend, because the WAY the money will be spent is determined by supply side, not demand side.

The MIC occupies congress and the pentagon. And the MIC wants to make and sell what profits IT the most, not what profits the COUNTRY.

And the same is true in every NATO nation.

Russia and China OWN their armaments industries, and they are instructed by their nations' war cabinets - not by a wholly owned subsidiary called the pentagon - what to produce.

As a result, their war making money is wisely and usefully spent. Less buys more. Our is unwisely and foolishly spent. Doubling or tripling it will double or triple the MIC's profits, but it will not change our readiness.

The enemy is not at the gate. The enemy is within. And he wears a tiny hat, and he has already feathered another nest against the day that this one goes to **** from his parasitism.
